Talend Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and support Talend-based data pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting systems.

• Analyze business requirements and propose scalable, cost-effective technical solutions.

• Design optimized data models and implement SQL/BigQuery queries for performance improvement and cost reduction.

• Contribute to solution architecture by introducing new patterns, technologies, and approaches.

• Ensure data security and compliance across all application layers.

• Collaborate with squad members (PO, BA, Architects, Data Engineers, Full Stack Developers) in an Agile environment.

• Own full implementation lifecycle: code quality, unit testing, integration testing, monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.

• Define and promote best practices in coding standards, source control, and reusability.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer.

• Strong hands-on skills with Talend ETL tools.

• Proficiency in SQL (DDL & DML) with proven experience in SQL optimization.

• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery).

• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.

• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.

• Experience in troubleshooting and incident resolution.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience in the chemical or research industry.

• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure platform.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong ability to build relationships, foster accountability, and resolve conflicts quickly.

• Fluent in English (mandatory)
