- Lead, coach, and grow a distributed QA team to achieve high performance and alignment with engineering goals.
- Define and drive the execution of QA strategy across all projects and releases, ensuring alignment with product and engineering roadmaps.
- Partner with senior leadership to align QA efforts with business objectives, compliance, and customer expectations.
- Own the end-to-end QA process including test planning, automation, integration, deployment readiness, and release management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, introducing scalable tools, frameworks, and processes that enhance software quality and delivery velocity.
- Monitor and report on QA metrics to identify trends, track progress, and ensure continuous delivery of high-quality products.
- Guide the development of comprehensive test automation and performance frameworks using modern tooling (e.g., JavaScript, Jenkins, Docker).
- Ensure effective risk management, root cause analysis, and defect prevention strategies.
- Promote collaboration between QA, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure full test coverage and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of hands-on QA engineering experience, with at least 4+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record in leading and scaling QA teams across multiple products or business units.
- Strong automation expertise with JavaScript-based frameworks and integration into CI/CD environments like Jenkins.
- Experience with cross-browser, multithreaded test execution and optimization for speed and reliability.
- Hands-on expertise with MongoDB and PostgreSQL; strong understanding of DB queries and performance tuning.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and testing tools such as Postman.
- Strong background in Linux environments and SaaS application workflows.
- Skilled in test strategy, manual testing, defect triage, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop QA metrics and quality KPIs to drive accountability and transparency.
