- Lead the planning, design, and execution of hydromechanical works including penstocks, gates, valves, and hoisting systems
- Ensure timely completion of hydromechanical components in alignment with overall project schedules and milestones
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for hydromechanical systems
- Coordinate with design consultants and EPC contractors to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of hydromechanical equipment at project sites
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards during execution.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians involved in hydromechanical works
- Allocate resources effectively and resolve technical or operational challenges on-site.
- Liaise with internal departments, external consultants and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and approvals
- Represent the hydromechanical discipline in project review meetings.
- Identify potential risks in hydromechanical design and execution and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as IS, IEC, ASME, and environmental norms.
- Prepare and manage budgets for hydromechanical components and activities
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, technical issues, and resolutions
- Generate regular reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
