- Develop complete detailed engineering design packages, including:
- Mechanical & electrical layouts
- Single-line diagrams and schematics
- Bill of Materials (equipment, components, and materials)
- Assembly and integration details
- Prepare advanced CAD / 3D / BIM engineering drawings to support manufacturing and installation needs.
- Ensure engineering documentation follows global Prefab standards, local regulations, and customer-approved designs.
- Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Serve as the first point of technical escalation for design-related clarifications within the factory.
- Provide engineering support and guidance to manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and PM teams.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement design corrections for technical issues identified during production or testing.
- Conduct technical validations and assessments during production, FAT, and commissioning activities.
- Project Support & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure engineering readiness, interface clarity, and solution compliance with project scope.
- Attend project handover (P1) reviews and provide engineering input for planning, risk management, and delivery milestones.
- Support the tendering team when needed by reviewing technical specifications, creating preliminary designs, and validating solution feasibility.
- Interface with front office teams and customers as required for technical clarification and approvals.
- Work with Prefab Commissioning, PM, and Quality teams during execution, testing, and project closure.
- Compliance, Standards & Best Practices
- Ensure all engineering work complies with local electrical and mechanical standards, codes of practice, and customer-specific regulations.
- Validate system integration against global Prefab MDC design guidelines.
- Actively promote and deploy Prefab best practices, standard designs, and engineering libraries.
- Maintain proper engineering documentation traceability for internal and external audits.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities for design simplification, modularization, and digital engineering improvements.
- Contribute to engineering standardization and knowledge management initiatives.
- Support engineering change management (ECN/ECO) processes to incorporate field feedback and manufacturing lessons learned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of industrial engineering experience in multi-product or project-based environments.
- Strong ability to evaluate and validate engineering systems/solutions in accordance with local standards and customer specifications.
- Proficiency in BIM, CAD, and/or 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Experience with assemblies, modular integration, and multi-equipment layouts.
- Ability to read and interpret advanced construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Proactive and organized, with strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong soft skills: communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and engineering clarity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and standard engineering tools.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.
- Experience in modular construction, data center systems, or packaged solutions.
- Understanding of electrical power distribution (LV/MV), cooling systems, and control systems.
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric product portfolios is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, SPS (Schneider Production System), and FAT processes.
