Job Description: Industrial Designer (1-4 years of experience) Position Overview Caterpillar India is seeking talented and creative Industrial Designer with 1-4 years of experience to join our dynamic design team based out of Bangalore. As an Industrial Designer, Individual will play a key role in the development and execution of innovative product designs for CAT off highway & mining machines . This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and confident individual who possesses strong skills in design software and is eager to contribute to exciting design projects. We expect candidate should have a solid foundation in industrial design principles and a high level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Alias, Blender, and Keyshot software. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams includes marketing, Branding , UI/UX, Engineering etc. to understand product requirements, user needs, and design objectives. Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Alias, Blender, and Keyshot software to create visually appealing concept sketches, 3D models, renderings, and animations. Work closely with senior designers to develop and refine design concepts, taking into account aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. Conduct research on emerging design trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to support the design process. Assist in the creation of detailed design specifications, technical drawings, and CAD models using appropriate software tools. Contribute innovative ideas and concepts during brainstorming sessions and design reviews. Collaborate with engineers and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and make necessary adjustments as required. Participate in user testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs. Stay updated with the latest advancements in design software and industry trends. Maintain organized design files, project documentation, and design archives. Qualifications Professional degree in Industrial Design/Product Design/Transportation and Automobile Design or a related field. 1-4 years of professional experience in industrial design or a design-related internship. Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and demonstrating proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Alias, Blender, and Keyshot software. Solid understanding of industrial design principles, design research methodologies, and user-centered design. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and prototyping techniques. Excellent visual and verbal communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and ideas. Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Passion for design, creativity, and a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
