Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.The Automation Software Solutions -Consultant for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for driving the value proposition, market approach, growth strategy and implementation of our Clinical IT Solutions and Software Solutions. The associate in this position will also need to have a working knowledge of Automation Solutions as she/he will work on providing Beckman Coulter’s innovative software solutions to our automation customers.This position is part of the Marketing Department located in Mumbai and will be on-site (New -Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.You will be a part of the Marketing team and report to the Marketing Head, Southwest Asia and will be responsible for managing the Clinical IT portfolio of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in Southwest Asia.   • Lead the positioning of Beckman Diagnostics’ Clinical IT and Automation Software solutions in Southwest Asia. This includes building a 3–5-year strategic plan for the product line and taking responsibility for the implementation of this plan in the region.
  • Work with sales and project teams on identifying the right prospects for IT solutions, identify customer needs through workflow mapping and propose the appropriate solution to drive operational efficiency within and across the lab network through process automation and standardization.
  • Provides consultation on connectivity solutions, regulatory compliance, security and virus protection concerns and the implementation of informatics products to ensure goals and objectives of BC products are installed and integrated via HL7 and ASTM with Hospital/Laboratory Information System (HIS/LIS).
  • Understand and translate the features of the IT Solutions products into customer-oriented benefits communication.
  • Conduct and lead market studies on the Automation Market in general and on Clinical IT Software, including managing research partners, drawing insights from research, and forming a positioning statement for our products and services.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT / Engineering/ Computer Science/ Bioinformatics/ Computer Applications required. Master’s Degree preferred. 10+ years of prior experience in IT/laboratory Diagnostics
  • Working experience with middleware solutions and familiar with clinical rules, libraries and laboratory protocols/scenarios to have efficient rules engine for validation and verification purposes.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry relevant standards including HL7, ASTM, HIPAA, SNOMED, LOINC, ICD (knowledge of HL7 and ASTM standards is a must)
  • Prior exposure to Automation solutions and deployment and implementation of Total Lab Automation is preferred.
  • Clinical and commercially driven individual with a positive attitude. Individual must be self-driven, problem-solver with the ability to work effectively.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Ability to understand Automation solutions and cross-sell solutions. Must have an integrated view to the business.
  • Passionate innovator working on product concepts and solutions.
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with the different stakeholders including end-users.
  • Highly agile and flexible as extensive travel is required.
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.
