The Data Science & Analytics Capability Lead is a senior leadership role
responsible for raising the technical depth and solution maturity across MathCo's analytics engagements.This role exists to:
- Provide expert guidance on complex analytical problems across accounts
- Strengthening solution architecture for industry-level problems
- Engage with senior customer stakeholders as a technical thought partner
- Lead and mentor a pool of high-caliber SMEs who are embedded across client engagements
- Own and drive revenue generated from this capability through billed SME deployments
- Build reusable analytical frameworks, accelerators, and best practices
- Support learning and development of analytics talent across the organization
- Act as the technical conscience of the organization, ensuring rigor, innovation, and quality
Technical Leadership Across Accounts
- Provide advisory support to accounts facing complex modeling and analytics challenges (e.g., MMM, MTA, Forecasting, Pricing, Retail Media
- Measurement, Causal Inference, Bayesian modeling, Neural Networks etc.)
- Review and strengthen analytical approaches, model structures, and solution logic
- Be the go-to expert for problem statements that require depth beyond standard playbooks
- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders (Director/VP/Head of Analytics, Marketing Science, Revenue Growth, etc.) as a technical leader
- Represent MathCo's analytical depth in critical client conversations, workshops, and solution discussions
- Build credibility and trust through strong analytical articulation and problem solving
- Support accounts in translating complex analytics into business-relevant narratives for leadership audiences
- Build and manage a pool of high-caliber SMEs deployed across accounts
- Drive billed utilization of SMEs embedded in client engagements
- Own the revenue generated from this capability
- Ensure SMEs are deployed where they create maximum client and commercial impact
- Track and manage capability pipeline, utilization, and revenue performance
- Partner with Growth, Presales, and Account teams to design solutions for complex RFPs and problem statements
- Lead analytical solutioning for pilot and high-stakes projects
- Convert successful pilots and technical interventions into scaled engagements
- Actively contribute to conversion of sales pipeline through technical credibility
- Develop reusable solution frameworks for key industry problems
- Create modeling templates, code accelerators, and best practice playbooks
- Standardized high-quality analytical approaches across teams
- Act as the review authority for high-impact analytical solutions
- Improve analytical storytelling, documentation, and model defensibility
- Raise the bar for what “good” looks like at MathCo
- Partner with L&D to design capability development programs
- Conduct internal workshops, masterclasses, and technical forums
- Create learning pathways, reference materials, and case studies from real engagements
- Mentor senior data scientists and emerging technical leaders across the organization
- Stay ahead of emerging analytical techniques
- Drive adoption of modern modeling approaches across teams
- Represent MathCo's analytical thought leadership internally and externally

Experience
- Over 12+ years of experience in advanced analytics and data science
- Deep experience in solving complex business problems using modeling and analytics
- Experience working across multiple industries - CPG, Retail etc.
- Experience across multiple verticals - Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance etc.
- Experience mentoring senior data scientists and technical teams
- Experience of global delivery setup across US, Europe and/or Asia Pacific
- Marketing Mix Modeling, Attribution, Causal Inference
- Pricing & Elasticity modeling
- Forecasting & time-series modeling
- Bayesian methods, hierarchical models, state-space models
- Machine Learning & statistical modeling
- Python and modern data science stack
- Neural Networks, Deep Learning, Transformers etc.
- Familiarity with GenAI applications in analytics (preferred)
- Strong mentoring and coaching capability
- Ability to influence different teams and accounts across the org
- Strong solution design and analytical storytelling skills
- Ability to simplify complex business problems and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide transparency and value reports to executive leadership
