Job Title: Automotive Cyber Security Specialist (6- 10 Years)Job Location: BengaluruAbout Veoneer:Veoneer is a world leader, and over the years, Veoneer has delivered more than 1.1 billion electronic control units and crash sensors to car manufacturers globally.Owned by AIP and headquartered in the U.S. Veoneer has approximately 2,550 employees in 11 countries.What you'll do?Cybersecurity Strategy & Concept Development (RFQ Phase)· Analyze and interpret customer cybersecurity requirements during RFQ and pre-development phases· Support cybersecurity feasibility assessments and technical clarifications· Define cybersecurity concepts, assumptions, and boundary conditions for technical proposals· Provide cybersecurity effort and cost estimation inputs to support RFQ pricing decisionsCybersecurity Engineering & Development· Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434· Derive cybersecurity requirements at system, hardware, and software levels· Support the design of secure ECU and in-vehicle network architectures· Define and support implementation of:- Secure boot- Secure firmware/software update- Secure communication and diagnostics· Contribute to cybersecurity-focused design and architecture reviews· Collaborate hands-on with hardware, system, and software teams on security feature implementationImplementation & Technical Contribution· Support HSM-based and software-based security implementations· Work on security mechanisms such as:- PFLASH protection- Secure boot and secure updates- Secured communication protocols- Sec OC· Ensure cybersecurity requirements are correctly traced and implemented across ECU componentsValidation, Testing & Compliance· Define cybersecurity verification and validation strategies· Support penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, and fuzz testing activities· Maintain cybersecurity work products, traceability, and audit evidence· Contribute to cybersecurity case development and compliance documentation· Support on PSIRT issue analysisCoordination & Governance· Act as the cybersecurity interface between system, hardware, software, and V&V teams· Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on cybersecurity topics· Support internal and external audits related to ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155 / R156· Track cybersecurity risks, mitigation actions, and compliance status throughout the lifecycleWhat You'll Bring?Technical Expertise· Strong understanding of Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering as per ISO/SAE 21434· Working knowledge of UNECE R155 and R156 regulations· Hands-on experience with TARA methodologies and security concept development· Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols:- CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet· Knowledge and Hands on experience on ECU security concepts including:- Cryptography- Key management- Secure communication and diagnostics- HSM integrationTools & Methods (Preferred)· Experience with TARA and risk analysis tools· Familiarity with requirements and issue-tracking tools such as DOORS, Polarion, JIRAProfessional & Soft Skills· Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset· Ability to clearly document cybersecurity concepts and technical decisions· Effective communication skills with cross-functional and global teams· Capability to work independently while collaborating in multidisciplinary environmentsPreferred Qualification: BE / BTech / ME / MTech
