Job Description – MEP Project Manager / EngineerLocation: MumbaiIndustry: Pharma & Non-Pharma ProjectsExperience Required: [Insert Years, e.g., 5–10 Years]Employment Type: Full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & PlanningManage end-to-end execution of MEP works including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, BMS, and Utilities.Plan and allocate skilled and unskilled manpower as per project requirements.Identify, evaluate, and finalize subcontractors and vendors for MEP packages.Review and interpret technical specifications, GFC drawings, and BOQs for pharma and non-pharma projects.Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and work execution.Monitor progress against project schedules, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions proactively.Quality, Standards & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to GMP, ISO, and project-specific standards, especially for cleanroom/pharma works.Oversee safety and quality control procedures at the site.Supervise testing, commissioning, and validation (for pharma projects) ensuring successful system handover.Client & Stakeholder ManagementConduct regular coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.Follow up with clients for work approvals, measurement verification, billing certification, and timely payments.Maintain strong client relationships through transparent communication and service excellence.Documentation & ReportingPrepare and manage site documentation such as Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs), billing, material reconciliation, and as-built drawings.Monitor project financials, ensure profitability through cost control and timely billing.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.Proven experience in MEP project execution, preferably in pharma and industrial projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and utility systems.Excellent coordination, planning, and leadership skills.Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, and pharma cleanroom compliance.Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
