Hiring for ETL Tester-Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, MumbaiJob Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced ETL Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for validating data flows, verifying ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and accuracy across the data pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data testing, SQL, and ETL tools.Key Responsibilities:Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test strategies and test cases for ETL processes.Validate source-to-target data mappings and transformation logic.Perform end-to-end testing of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate large datasets.Identify data quality issues, log defects, and work closely with developers and analysts for resolution.Develop and maintain test documentation, test plans, test cases, and test data.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.Automate data validation tasks where applicable using scripts or data testing frameworks.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.[2–5+] years of hands-on experience in ETL testing.Strong SQL skills and experience in querying large datasets.Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar.Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.Experience in validating structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).Understanding of test methodologies, STLC, and best practices.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with automation tools for data testing (e.g., QuerySurge, Data Validation Frameworks).Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark).Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow).Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for data validation and reporting.Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell) for data manipulation and automation.
