- Lead, mentor, recruit, onboard, and develop highperformingfullstackengineers and engineering managers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and technical excellencewith a particular focus on frontend architecture (including analytics) and implementation, andbackend integration patterns
- Build and scale a highly effective engineering organizationoperatingin a deeplycrossfunctionalenvironment spanning product, design,delivery, QA, security,infrastructure, and operations
- Act as a change leader in a fastmoving, evolving ecommerce landscape, driving modernization, operational maturity, and continuous improvement
- Contribute toand uphold engineering standards that strengthen Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices across multiple feature teams
- Communicate clear execution plans andpartner closely with Product Managementand Global Engineeringto deliver shared platform capabilities that enable webteams to buildhighperformance, customer-centricexperiences
- Collaborate with our infrastructure,backendteams, and solution architectureto ensurefeatures are architectedto deliver speed, scale, andtimelydelivery
- Contribute to long-term architecture and strategy of UnderArmourse-commerce ecosystem
- Provideleadershipand technical guidanceduring incident triagehelpingexpediteresolution of customer impact,ensuring clear communication, rapid resolution, and durablepostincidentimprovements(includes periodic 24x7on call)
- Support evaluation, estimation, andfeedback onnonlabor agreements, including vendors, contractors, and strategic partners
- Support adoption of frontend standards and best practices while also contributing to broader engineering patterns tosimplify systems andimprove performance,availability, and scalability based on technical and functional considerations
- Ability to balance near term delivery with long term platform strategy, making tradeoffs that support scalability, developer productivity, and business growth
- Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience or master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or typically 14 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Typically, 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert
- Familiarity withcutting-edgeopen-source libraries and experience contributing to projects of personal interest a plus
- Deepexpertisewith modern web development, with a strong focus on front-endcapabilities including Next.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS/SCSS, and HTML
- Comfortable working across thestackunderstands backend concepts (e.g., REST/GraphQLAPIs, microservices, caching, data modeling, CI/CD) and can contribute to development when necessary
- Abilityto translate UX and product requirements into scalable frontend architecture that align with backend platform constraints
- Experience working withCI/CD tooling such asGitHubActions
- Experiencewith source control including Git
- Experience working within a service-oriented architecture
- Experience with PCI,SOX, and/or GDPR/CCPA legal considerations
- Ideal candidate has exposure to some of the following technologies and systems:
- Tagging &Analytics (e.g, Adobe DTM/Launch, Tealium, Google Tag Manager)
- Content Management Systems (e.g.CoreMedia, Magnolia,Contentful, AEM)
- A/B Testing (e.g.Adobe Target, AB Tasty,Evergage)
- Ecommerce Systems (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybris, Shopify etc.)
- Experience with APM tooling (e.g., Datadog,NewRelic, or Honeycomb)
- Experience with developmentfocusedon NodeJS, Typescript and supporting frameworks like Express
- Experience managing custom services such as REST andGraphQLAPIs with high throughput
- Experience with third party authentication platforms such as Oktafor customer login and system to system authentication
- ExperiencewithAWS services, Kubernetes, Docker (or other image container software)
- Experience with stacked CDNs and NG WAF technologies
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our office.
- Work Schedule:This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week
