
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Performance Testing - Jmeter)

- Handle design, development, and execution of performance and load testing strategies for the Neurons ITSM platform.
- Build and maintain scalable performance test frameworks for REST APIs, UI workflows, and backend services.
- Integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipelines to catch regressions early in the development cycle.
- Simulate realistic customer scenarios and complex workloads to validate system behavior under stress and high concurrency.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with Dev/SRE teams for root cause analysis and tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance benchmarks, SLAs, and KPIs.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
- Continuously improve test coverage for critical business flows and customer use cases.
- Support scalability planning and capacity testing in cloud (Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Maintain and enhance test infrastructure to mirror production-like environments for accurate performance simulation.
- 6+ years of experience in QA or software engineering, with a focus on performance testing.
- Expertise with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner etc.
- Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, or a similar language for automation.
- Solid experience with system integration testing for large enterprise cloud or on-premise products.
- Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting resource usage (CPU, memory, I/O, network).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Familiarity with RDBMS and NoSQL databases and their performance tuning.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure and microservice-based architectures.
- Understanding of Windows OS internals and configuration impacts on performance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with Dev, QA, SRE, and Product teams.
- Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of security best practices, OWASP, and threat modeling is a plus.
- Domain knowledge in ITIL or IT Asset Management is preferred.
