- Experience teaching and/or developing curricula in English language and literature
- Ability to lead and manage a department, including mentoring and supervising faculty, budget management, and program development.
- Teaching: Delivering high-quality lectures and facilitating discussions and debates in English language and literature courses.
- Curriculum Development: Participating in the development and revision of English language and literature courses.
- Research: Conducting research in the field of English language and literature and contributing to the development of the field.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Designing and implementing assessments, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback to students.
- Student Support: Providing support to students, both inside and outside of the classroom, and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Departmental Activities: Participating in departmental activities, such as faculty meetings, committees, and events.
- Professional Development: Engaging in professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and training programs, to enhance teaching and research skills.
- Classroom Management: Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment in the classroom, and addressing any behavior or discipline issues that may arise.
- Course Preparation: Preparing lesson plans and materials for each course, and ensuring that course content is up-to-date and relevant.
