Role Type: Full-timeRTF: Rich objectRole SummaryThe Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electrical component sizing, harness design, BOM management, prototype support, NPDI execution, and field issue resolution. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership across the product lifecycle.RTF: Rich objectKey Responsibilities1. Electrical Component Selection & Sizing
- Select and size electrical components (contactors, breakers, relays, sensors, power supplies, etc.).
- Perform load calculations, wire sizing, and derating as per IEC/UL standards.
- Validate components for performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
- Create and maintain accurate BOMs for electrical systems.
- Drive engineering change management (ECN/ECR/DCR).
- Coordinate with Sourcing and Manufacturing for component availability and cost optimization.
- Support electrical build for prototype and pilot units.
- Prepare wiring diagrams, test plans, and assembly instructions.
- Resolve build-stage issues and ensure design readiness for production.
- Follow NPDI processes, documentation, and deliverables.
- Support design reviews (PDR/CDR), DFMEA/PFMEA, DFM/DFS activities.
- Support DV/PV testing, certification, and compliance requirements.
- Attend field escalations and provide timely technical resolutions.
- Conduct RCA/CAPA and implement corrective design improvements.
- Work closely with Service, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
- Design electrical harnesses including routing, wire sizing, connector selection, and protection.
- Create harness drawings and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD/EPLAN/SolidWorks Electrical.
- Coordinate with Mechanical teams for routing and packaging feasibility.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, component technologies, and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with harness design tools and PLM/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of NPDI processes and engineering documentation.
- Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in HVAC, Thermal Systems, or Industrial Product Development.
- Familiarity with IEC/UL standards and compliance requirements.
