GSRC (Global Solutions and Risk Compliance) is the operational arm of ORC (Operations Risk Compliance) organization. GSRC mission is to accelerate Amazon's business growth and marketplace presence at scale and speed using high quality teams and solutions to solve regulatory and business problems. The team supports regulatory compliance requirements for Amazon's worldwide programs like Social Responsibility, Dangerous Goods, Global Trade Services and Transport Risk and Compliance. GSRC currently has presence in India, China, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, Jordan, Costa Rica, UK, Luxembourg, Singapore and USA.The Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team at GSRC ensures the environmental data are available and actionable globally, we intend to keep pace with Amazon's growth and the dynamic regulatory environment. We are the key enablers across Amazon to drive environmental compliance in alliance with the programs team. We ensure environmental compliance, accuracy, sustainability and longevity of local, state, federal or global regulations.Key job responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of environmental management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics and trends to detect emerging issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental risk management into business planning, operations, and decision-making.
- Develop and deliver training to employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to environmental compliance and risk management activities.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Environmental science, Sustainability, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an Environmental Specialist and related domains (Waste Management)
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed documentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years' experience in environmental management, compliance, or risk assessment
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and data analysis techniques
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draft project charters & conduct Gap analysis
