Process Engineer with a strong background in Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) design, sizing, selection, and validation for process plants. The ideal candidate will be proficient in process engineering fundamentals and safety relief systems, ensuring plant operations comply with international standards and client specifications. The role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams, preparation of engineering deliverables, and participation in design reviews for greenfield and brownfield projects.Perform PSV sizing and selection for new and existing systems based on process scenarios (blocked flow, fire case, thermal expansion, etc.).Prepare relief load calculations using simulation tools and manual methods.Develop and maintain PSV datasheets in accordance with API, ASME, and project specifications.Coordinate with mechanical discipline for PSV mechanical design review and vendor document approval.Evaluate PSV inlet and outlet piping for pressure drop and backpressure compliance.Participate in PSV validation studies, including re-rating and replacement recommendations.Conduct HAZOP/LOPA reviews and ensure PSV requirements align with process safety analysis outcomes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent (master’s preferred).5–10 years of process engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, or power plant projects, with a minimum of 3 years in PSV engineering.HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PIPESIM, PSV sizing tools (API methods), Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/SmartPlant P&ID.Standards Knowledge: API 520/521/526, ASME Section VIII, EN 4126, PED, OSHA PSM.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Excellent communication skills for client and cross-discipline coordination.
