Key Relationships: Marketing, Support, Engineering, Product.Work Hours: European Time Zone.Job Purpose:We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer (or Kotlin Developer) with a proven track record of designing and building systems from the ground up. - Design and build new systems from scratch in Java or Kotlin - no legacy code, full ownership from day one
- Lead or contribute to architectural decisions, choosing tools, frameworks, and design approaches
- Apply proven software design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Builder, Chain of Responsibility) to solve real engineering problems
- Explain design choices clearly and engage in thoughtful technical discussions with the team
- Build robust, scalable, and maintainable systems using modern development practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and technical deep dives that raise the bar for the whole team
- Shape the technical foundation of a product - your decisions will directly impact long-term success
- Work in a truly greenfield environment where autonomy, quality, and system thinking are valued

- 8-12 years of professional experience in Java or Kotlin development
- Demonstrated experience building systems from scratch
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software design patterns, such as: Singleton, Factory, Builder, Chain of Responsibility, etc.
- Ability to clearly explain design decisions and trade-offs
- Experience with system architecture including APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Solid foundation in performance optimization, scalability, and software engineering best practices
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment
