PROCESS & PRODUCT:

Responsible for all the Technology function related tasks in Tyre Building Process
Responsible for New Product Industrialization in Tyre Building Process
Responsible for New Process / technology / commissioning of new equipment in the Business Unit
Responsible for Implementing the process Changes / machine modifications
Responsible for productivity improvement (Cycle time improvement, setup time reduction, etc)
Responsible for overall yield improvement
Responsible for defective material loss reduction in the next process area
Responsible for Standardization of Green Tyre and Components
Supporting to Manufacturing team for Process Trouble shooting (Rework/Scrap/Defect)
Responsible for tyre building process related scrap reduction
Responsible for carrying out the specification changes in Tyre building process
Establish, Issue and control of component level & Tyre building specifications
Establish, Issue and control of in process standards
Responsible for all the Process spec and standards Tyre building process and part of CFT in making PFMEA, Control plan, SOP etc.,
Optimize the use of existing material / alternate material for cost/rationalization/process benefit
Responsible for Claim Loss - Analyze product failure due to Tyre building process variations and take necessary improvement measures
Review of key product and process parameters and initiate actions in Daily work management
Generate quality improvement projects to improve the product performance and process efficiencies
PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc.

TECHNICAL ECONOMY:

Product specification optimization in the designated area

CLAIMS & LOSSES:

Monitor process rework and scrap and maintain plant indicator within target limit
TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS:

Provide technical know-how and inputs to the designated sections.

Analyse Tyre Building process variations and take necessary countermeasures

Analytically sound to analyse the data & should retrieve any statistical data available in the system.

Proficiency in Tyre Manufacturing Technology (Capable)

(Technical knowhow & ability in Tyre Building process, production processes, systems, layout plans and quality measures)

Proficiency in Plant systems & processes (Foundational)

(Ability to understand & implement 5S, safety practices, production best practices, QBM and other contemporary systems & process.)
