Role Description:As a BI engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining reporting solutions. You will have a thorough understanding of SAP Hana and data integration and be responsible for designing and implementing business requirements as well as data accuracy in reports. You will support the team in day-to-day SAP Hana development and support, monitoring the production environment, identifying and fixing issues, and improving system performance. As this role involves daily interaction with the finance department, it is essential that you have a good background in finance, and strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.B.Responsible:Development and support of BI environment in collaboration with finance stakeholders. Ongoing development and maintenance of SAP Hana reporting platform.Responsible for data loading, monitoring and system performance.Engage with users to understand their needs and develop/maintain application, logical and technical data architectures.Integration and implementation of changes.Training of key users.B.Skilled:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.7+ years of expertise in the IT industry5+ years of full hands-on SAP HANA development AND SAP HANA modeling experience is a mustIntensive experience with SAP HANA XSA developmentStrong knowledge of SAP HANA SQL, Stored Procedures and FunctionsExperience with performance tuning and optimization of calculation views and stored procedures is requiredExposure in XSA & DB Security concepts (Roles, Privileges etc)Experience with OData using XSOData is requiredExperience with Application Function Libraries, search, text analysis and mining, spatial, graph engines is a plusExperience with Git concepts (GitHub / Gitlab) is a must.Experience with CI/CD, pipelines is a plusKnowledge of working with SDA/SDI and SLT is an advantage.Experience with CAP framework is an advantageComprehensive knowledge of XSOData, XSJS, SAPUI5, Gateway, Fiori application deployment is added advantageKnowledge of agile development processes (SCRUM or Kanban) and experience with Jira a plusSuperior attention to detail and quality requiredProven ability to adopt new technologiesDemonstrated interest for researching new technologies and developing business cases to support stakeholders across the organizationAbility to have a good grasp of the details and manage multiple priorities.
