- Supporting the collections team to enhance the recovery of dues from the delinquent customers through cost effective legal intervention
- Help formulate strategies for enhancing the collections along with the collections team to improve collections of chronic cases
- Identify and empanel with competent law firms/ lawyers PAN India
- Assure regular monitoring of the statutory compliances requirements of the company
- Help manage customer / legal escalations and regulatory issues pertaining to collections
- Support drafting, vetting & finalization of collection related SLAs and all other legal documents relating to service providers, appointment of law firms / lawyers and agencies
- Design and develop legal collections system to automate routine affairs like notice management, arbitrations and executions
- Maintaining legal MIS by furnishing the details of the legal intervention taken and the matters defended
- Help develop and regularly update the legal manuals and procedures related to collections from time to time
- Recommend improvements to processes and policies across the Retail Banking business to drive operational efficiencies and high quality customer service
- Keep abreast with global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets
- Support initiative to reduce operational costs and drive strategies to increase profitability
