Responsible for the financial support for the Pharmaceuticals Segment ($2B global revenue) R&D operations including financial planning and analysis (P&L, Capex, and Cash Flow), controllership, and strategic decisions impacting near and long-term execution of new product portfolio financials. Also responsible for Ahmedabad and Bangalore R&D operations with annual spend of $40M (50% of Pharma R&D spend) and $50M respectively. Operational support includes decision support strategic analytics, FP&A processes, as well as business partnership and prioritization of key R&D initiatives. Key finance support for A2R Activity for Baxter Pharmaceutical India Private Limited, and all Finance initiatives within. Responsibilities Key finance partner for the Ahmedabad and Bangalore site leads and leadership teams to provide FP&A and decision support Partner with business leads of various markets to provide decision and operational support Support with execution of key portfolio New Product Launches in the near and long-term Liaison with Accounting CoE on critical decisions and adjustments to Pharma GBU Support P&L Support the development of financial analysis and presentations for the senior management team including the Pharmaceuticals GBU President as necessary Understand relevant business risks, perform appropriate risk assessment, and recommend mitigation plans Engage with broader Pharma leadership team to provide financial analysis for key financial forecasting cycles (Actuals, Forecasts, AOP, LRP) Prepare monthly financial deliverables including key analysis and variance commentary, as well as preparing outlook projections Drive compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures for all related entities and operations Lead finance support for establishing the new Global Pharma R&D Center in Ahmedabad and the expansion of Bangalore R&D Labs for Front Line Care, Acute Therapies, and Medication Delivery Project lead on cross-functional workstreams in the delivery of new product launches, capex investments and management of contract manufacturing relationships. Role includes coordination with Accounting, Tax & other Finance Counterparts to ensure proper accounting and compliance Management of a strong team of individuals and demonstrate pro-active leadership on development plans and mentorship Qualifications Finance Professional having 6 years of experience with comprehensive knowledge of leading and managing department of accounting, finance operation, consolidation and FP&A Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 8 or more years of experience. Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment. Strong Analytical and Strategical Skills to contribute to the growth of the Business Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders; demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities. Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, financial reporting and its compliance Skilled at assembling and managing both ongoing staff as well as cross-functional teams as required and mentoring the future talent. Decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, working towards the approach of resolving the issues and rapidly decide upon best course of action and drive implementation of that decision. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or; CA (Chartered Accountant i.e. Most Qualified degree for Accounting and Finance profession in India.)
