Job Description:Job PurposeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modeling and Simulation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will lead efforts in developing and applying models to enhance water treatment processes, biological processes, and desalination techniques. This role requires a deep understanding of simulation methods and an ability to contribute to the improvement of environmental processes. The candidate will leverage advanced modeling tools to drive innovation and solve complex process and water-related challenges, delivering significant business impact.Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute modeling and simulation projects related to chemical processes, water treatment, wastewater processes namely biological treatments, anaerobic and aerobic processes, precipitation, flocculation, coagulation, and desalination.
Apply advanced modeling techniques to analyze, optimize and control process and water treatment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into broader operational strategies.
Conduct sensitivity, uncertainty analysis, and optimization of models.
Present simulation results and insights to senior management.
Utilize platforms like HYSYS, ASPEN Plus, or equivalent.
Develop, test, and validate simulation models using CFD tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.
Contribute to research papers, technical reports, and publications.

QualificationsEducation: PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Electrochemical Engineering, or related fields.Experience: Minimum 5 years post-PhD experience in modeling and simulation, especially for water or process industry.Skills: * Modeling wastewater treatment, biological systems, and desalination.

Experience with HYSIS, ASPEN, ANSYS, COMSOL.
Strong background in chemical/biological process modeling.
Data analysis, sensitivity, uncertainty analysis.
Exposure to R or Python.
Understanding of AI/ML techniques in modeling.

Critical thinker with problem-solving focus.
