  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in hardware support roles, demonstrating technical expertise in hardware systems management and problem solving.
  • Experience in PC assembly and disassembly, ensuring efficient and error-free hardware setup and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hardware diagnostics tools to effectively identify and solve hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating system installation, helping ensure that systems run smoothly and are suitably configured for users' needs.
  • Hands-on experience in firmware updates to improve or fix hardware operations and performance.
  • Proven ability to support peripheral devices, such as scanners, mice, and keyboards, ensuring full functionality with connected systems.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting hardware issues (Mandatory skill), demonstrating an ability to quickly and effectively resolve technical problems.
  • Competence in computer network configuration (Mandatory skill) to ensure that all network hardware is set up and maintained accurately.
  • Skilled in printer setup and maintenance (Mandatory skill) so that all printing equipment remains in optimal working condition.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive hardware support to maintain the smooth operation of all computing devices used within the organization.
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance checks and troubleshooting to prevent hardware problems and ensure efficient performance.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to implement network configurations, ensuring efficient connectivity across campus.
  • Train and guide end-users on hardware usage, assisting them with queries and enhancing their technical know-how.
  • Monitor and manage hardware inventories and spare-part replenishments to effectively respond to repair or upgrade needs.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of printers and peripheral devices to ensure consistent access for all users.
  • Collaborate with other teams to effectively integrate new software or hardware solutions in line with the institutions IT strategy.
