Job Description:What You';ll DoAvalara is looking for a Marketing Automation Manager to support and evolve our email operations strategy. You will focus on building, and optimising lifecycle programmes that grow engagement, conversion, and pipeline growth.You will collaborate with Revenue Marketing, RevOps, and Sales teams to deliver email campaigns and nurture programmes. We ask that you have hands-on experience with Marketo, a operational mindset, and a data-informed approach to improve lifecycle performance.You will report to Director, Marketing OperationsWhat Your Responsibilities Will BeHelp develop Avalara';s email marketing and lifecycle strategy using MarketoGrow nurture programmes, trigger-based campaigns, and batch email sendDevelop segmentation strategies to promote personalization and audience targetingCollaborate with partners to translate campaign requirements into scalable Marketo programmesEnsure execution of email campaigns, including QA, testing, and deploymentAnalyse email and lifecycle performance to identify optimization opportunitiesProvide guidance and lead the team members, juniors and contribute to the cultureWhat You’ll Need To Be SuccessfulQualifications10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Email Marketing, or Lifecycle MarketingHands-on expertise in Marketo (Adobe Marketo Engage)Experience building and scaling email nurture programmes and lifecycle campaignsExperience with segmentation, personalization, and engagement strategiesExperience identifying lifecycle gaps, scoring challenges, and campaign performance opportunitiesTechnical SkillsExperience of Marketo programme architecture, smart campaigns, tokens, and segmentationUnderstanding of email deliverability, testing, and performance optimizationFamiliarity with Salesforce for campaign visibility and reportingAnalytical &; Strategic SkillsYou should have analytical experience with the ability to translate data into relevant insightsExperience with funnel metrics, engagement scoring, and lifecycle reportingIdentify systemic issues and implement scalable improvementsLeadership &; Collaboration Experience working with Marketing, RevOps, and Sales teamsLead projects and influence outcomes, with or without direct authorityExperience in B2B SaaS or high-growth technology environmentsFamiliarity with tools such as 6sense and SalesforceExperience supporting global lifecycle programmes and regional campaign nuances#LI-OnsiteAvalara is an AI-first CompanyAI is embedded in our workflows, decision-making, and products.  Success here requires embracing AI as an essential capability.You’ll bring experience using AI and AI-related technologies, ready to thrive here.You’ll apply AI every day to business challenges - improving efficiency, contributing solutions, and driving results for your team, our company, and our customers.You’ll grow with AI by staying curious about new trends and best practices, and by sharing what you learn so others can benefit too.How We’ll Take Care Of YouTotal Rewards In addition to a great compensation package, paid time off, and paid parental leave, many Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses. Health &; Wellness
