
Assistant Manager / Manager - Corporate Risk Management

- Conduct detailed financial and qualitative analysis of counterparties including private/public sector companies (domestic and international).
- Evaluate creditworthiness of State Governments and assess risks using budgetary data and fiscal indicators.
- Perform sovereign risk assessment through macroeconomic, geopolitical, and financial data of various countries.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to assess the viability and risk profiles of counterparties and contracts.
- Monitor and analyze emerging strategic risks such as:
- Shifts in global and domestic business models.
- Disruptive technologies and digitization.
- Energy transition and decarbonization trends.
- Identify potential business opportunities arising from sectoral or regulatory changes.
- Work with business units to assess implications of these risks on L&T’s operations and strategy.
- Build effective presentations for internal leadership and board-level discussions using MS PowerPoint.
- Use Excel for scenario analysis, forecasting, trend analytics, and sensitivity assessments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Finance, Strategy, Legal, and Business Development teams.

- OR Science Graduate + MBA
- OR Engineering + CFA
- Equivalent qualifications with strong financial and strategic understanding may also be considered.
- Solid understanding of Finance, Accounting, and macroeconomics.
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, scenario/sensitivity analysis.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint for reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and tools
- Understanding of infrastructure, EPC, and capital-intensive industries is preferred.
- Awareness of global economic indicators and their relevance to emerging markets and project risk.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
- Ability to synthesize data and present insights for strategic decision-making.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate risk management, credit/financial analysis, consulting, or strategy roles.
- Exposure to large-scale projects or infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.
