Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Production (Heavy Fabrication)

• Production Planning & Execution: Plan, schedule, and execute heavy fabrication work, including cutting, fit-up, assembly, and welding of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, and Structural items.
• Fabrication Supervision: Oversee day-to-day shop floor activities, ensuring adherence to design drawings, welding procedures (WPS), and quality standards.
• Welding & NDT Management: Supervise welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW) and coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as UT, RT, MT, and DPT to ensure structural integrity.
• QA/QC Coordination: Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspector visits (Third-Party Inspection - TPI) and ensure compliance with ASME (Sec VIII, IX), DIN, or JIS standards.
• Resource Management: Manage fabrication teams and contract workforce effectively to meet deadlines. Optimize man-machine utilization and minimize downtime.
• Process Improvement: Establish/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement 5S systems to optimize fabrication productivity.
• Material Handling: Manage material tracking, fabrication, and surface preparation/painting processes.

• Education: BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in Heavy Fabrication, specializing in aerospace, pressure vessels, heavy structural, or material handling equipment.
• NDT Understanding: Deep understanding of NDT techniques and interpretation of defects.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP ERP for production reporting.
