This role is also necessary in order to achieve a successful integration with the rest of the components across the platform.What you'll be doingThe role is for an enthusiastic, passionate cloud engineer responsible for taking BT forward. You'll be expected to work closely with the development, design, ops and test teams to ensure that our services are delivered reliably.You'll be:

Taking care of deployments of infrastructure, networking, software packages, containers
Automating deployments of the same
Implementing up to date security practices
Managing issue diagnosis and resolution of infrastructure, software, networking, etc.
Working responsibly in a team to ensure that communication is kept at a high standard
Spreading your experience and knowledge to junior team members.
Wanting to learn new things and keen to bring the team onboard with new ideas.

We'll also need to see these on your CV

In depth knowledge of Linux, command line, server management, packages, issue diagnosis with hands on experience
Good experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, SIP, DNS, and Linux tooling for debugging the same
Comfortable with Bash/Python scripting
Strong understanding of Git
Automation of deployments through Ansible
Infrastructure as Code experience through Terraform
Strong cloud experience, preferably Azure
Implementing network security, zero trust architecture, secret management, etc.
Good exposure with container technologies: Docker/Containerd/Podman
Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize
GitOps tooling: FluxCD/ArgoCD
CI/CD frameworks, e.g. Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
Exposure to Observability tooling, e.g. ELK stack, Prometheus
Exposure to RDBMS, e.g. MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL
Exposure to NoSQL, e.g. Redis, Cassandra
Exposure to Service Discovery, e.g. Consul, etcd, ZooKeeper
Exposure to Message Queues, e.g. Kafka, Redis
Jira, Agile and Scrum
