- Managing the process of reconciling all balance sheet and off-balance sheet items to independent verifiable sources.
- Manage governance and reporting process on certifying of GLAO (General Ledger Account Ownership) month-end balances.
- Ensuring system controls are in place to maintain data quality and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Investigating and monitoring differences and escalating unresolved items in accordance with the GL Account Ownership policy.
- Assessing the recoverability of asset balances and monitoring the validity of payables and accruals.
- Escalating long outstanding unreconciled balances to GLAO.
- Perform QA reviews on both regular monthly reviews and thematic reviews and issue reports.
- Develop and implement rectification and follow-up plan for QA review outcome that do not meet satisfactory criteria.
- Conducting Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) to identify key risks and assess the effectiveness of internal controls for Finance Department. This includes assessing the risk of financial misstatement.
- Performing control effectiveness assessments independently and provide assurance to CFO on the effectiveness of the controls.
- Reviewing exception and control reports for control accounts to ensure proper management of inter-system or inter-business unit postings.
- Assessing and documenting controls for new products or services to mitigate potential risks.
- Ensuring automation of financial reports by preparing User Story / perform UAT
- Minimum 8 to 9 years’ experience in Financial Reporting / Controls
- Good working knowledge of MS-Excel and Powerpoint
- Automation and Reengineering of processes
- CA with post-qualification experience in banks / NBFCs / Finance GCC
- Accuracy and timeliness in reporting

- Good knowledge of Banking Products, Accounting Standards, etc
