- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable ledgers, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual expenses, revenue, and other financial metrics, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules, and reconcile asset accounts to ensure accuracy of asset valuations.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance reports, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, operations, and regulatory affairs, to provide financial support and analysis for business initiatives and projects.
- Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance to auditors during audit procedures.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and assess their impact on financial reporting and compliance practices.
