Job Category: RDE ENGINEERINGDegree Level: Bachelor's DegreeJob Description:Role SummaryWe are looking for a practical and detail-oriented Design Engineer / Project Engineer to support product design, standardization, and engineering delivery. This role is responsible for preparing engineering calculations, developing and validating new products, supporting manufacturing issues, and ensuring designs meet customer requirements and relevant API standards.The ideal candidate has strong experience in CAD design, product lifecycle management, engineering documentation, and cross-functional coordination, with the ability to work closely with customers, manufacturing teams, and engineering leaders to improve product quality, cycle time, and service delivery.Key Objectives
  • Prepare engineering calculations using standard engineering methods and principles
  • Support product standardization based on customer requirements and applicable API standards
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, including ECN, NCR, and CPAR disposition
  • Review customer specifications and define design scope, BOMs, and key technical requirements
  • Develop operation sequence drawings and support detailed product documentation
  • Contribute to new product development and design validation, including compliance with API 19LH
  • Support patent filing activities where applicable
  • Improve cycle time, service delivery, and overall product/service quality
  • Work effectively across teams and time zones to support global operations
  • Assess designs for feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and ethical engineering standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Create 3D models, drawings, and prototypes using Creo or similar CAD tools
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation
  • Review customer specifications and translate them into practical design solutions
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and support design changes
  • Support engineering change processes, including ECN, NCR, and CPAR activities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution from design to production
  • Maintain accurate product records, reports, and technical files for internal stakeholders
  • Assist in design reviews, validation testing, and continuous product improvement
  • Track design performance and recommend actions to improve quality, cost, and delivery
  • Report to the Engineering Supervisor and support ongoing product and process enhancement
  • Stay updated on design engineering trends, tools, and new technologies, including AI-driven design methods
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in a Design Engineer or Project Engineer role
  • Strong experience with Creo for 3D CAD modelling and design development
  • Working knowledge of Windchill PLM for product lifecycle management
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical drawings, and product documentation
  • Good understanding of manufacturing support processes, including ECN, NCR, and CPAR
  • Experience with BOM creation, design scope definition, and customer specification review
  • Familiarity with API standards, especially API 19LH, is preferred
  • Exposure to new product development, prototype design, and validation processes
  • Knowledge of AI tools for generative product design is an advantage
  • Able to work across different time zones and collaborate with global teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills
