- Inspection of incoming materials and Stage inspection for manufactured equipment at all stages.
- Knowledge on manufacturing process, stage inspection and clearance during equipment manufacturing process.
- Knowledge in Witnessing WPS, PQR and approval of welders.
- Knowledge in ISO, ASME, TEMA & API codes and responsible for training and managing teams for respective audits.
- Responsible for right documentation and maintaining the codes. inspection procedures and records.
- Co-ordinating with third party inspection agencies for inspections & approvals.
- Knowledge in study of equipment drawings and giving right instructions to production team.
- Educating the workforce on new processes, safety material, welding and other procedures to workmen and shop floor team.
- Vendor inspections and quality checks of ordered products / materials.
- Responsible for vendor evaluation and vendor approval.
- Manage team of QC Engineers, delegate QC related work to team & ensure performance of QC team.
- He will be responsible for ERP Implementation for QC Department
- Co-ordinate with Production team for all needs of stage wise inspection of material including incoming material, consumables, in fabrication equipment’s, testing of equipment’s & final inspection before dispatch of equipment’s.
- He will be responsible for all documentation work related to QC & timely deliver required documents as per projects & client’s requirements.
- Candidate should have experience in QA/QC function in any heavy process equipment’s fabrication industry.
- Exotic materials fabrication industry is preferable.
- Knowledge of ASME & API-650 codes etc.
- Candidate Should be ASNT level II for RT, UT, MPI & LPI Should have good knowledge of welding procedures on carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic materials like titanium & Nickel alloys.
- Knowledge in fabrication of heat exchangers, Pressure Vessels, tanks & piping equipment.
