Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management.
  • Prepare variance analysis reports comparing actual results to budgeted amounts.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and update forecasts as necessary.
  • Provide financial recommendations for improving business performance.
  • Monitor departmental expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary limits.
  • Account Reconciliation and Closing:
  • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Review journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
  • Internal Controls and Audit:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Lead internal and external audits, providing necessary documents and explanations.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data and adherence to policies.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns (corporate tax, VAT, sales tax, etc.).
  • Stay current with tax law changes and ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Review tax filings for accuracy and manage tax-related inquiries from authorities.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Cost Management and Analysis:
  • Lead cost analysis efforts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with other departments to assess financial impacts of operational decisions.
  • Provide financial support for major business decisions (e.g., investment opportunities, new projects).
  • Accounting System Management:
  • Ensure accounting software and systems are up-to-date and efficient.
  • Propose improvements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Implement automation tools to increase efficiency in routine tasks.
  • Financial Strategy and Decision Support:
  • Collaborate with management to shape financial strategy and provide recommendations for future financial planning.
  • Support strategic decisions with data-driven financial analysis and forecasts.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial regulations.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or other professional certifications are highly desirable).Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience.Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax compliance processes.
  • Basic to intermediate expertise in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • oGood communication skills for vendor and client coordination.
