The Project Inspection / Quality Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation in the offshore wind industry is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of E & I components and systems specific to offshore wind projects. This role involves implementing quality control measures, quality documentation, conducting inspections, and collaborating with project teams to maintain high standards of quality in E & I processes and products related to offshore wind farms. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality control procedures, inspection test plan/inspection requirement table for Electrical & Instrumentation components and systems specific to offshore wind projects, in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections and audits of Electrical & Instrumentation components, offshore substation equipment, and related documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications and project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers, fabrication Yard to address quality issues and implement corrective actions related to offshore wind projects. Perform root cause analysis and develop preventive measures to address non-conformities and quality deviations in the context of offshore wind projects. Review and approve manufacturing documentation for offshore wind components to ensure adherence to quality requirements and project requirements. Participate in design, clients' reviews and provide input on quality-related aspects of specific to offshore wind projects. Attends pre-inspection meetings, whenever required. Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and systems to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality enhancement. Support the development and maintenance of quality management systems and documentation tailored to offshore wind projects. Provide technical guidance and training to project teams on quality-related processes and best practices specific to offshore wind projects. Participate in supplier quality assessments and collaborate with vendors to improve product quality and reliability for offshore wind projects. Issue / review NCR for the non-conforming product. Support on quality gates. Shares knowledge/ learning (if any) with team. Participate in various audits (internal, external/project audits). Provides timely feedback to QA/QC Head on the ongoing activities. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Instrumentation engineering. Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in the quality management including quality control and inspection with a focus on offshore wind projects. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools specific to electrical and instrumentation components and systems in the offshore wind industry. Familiarity with offshore wind industry standards and regulations related to engineering and manufacturing in the offshore wind sector. Experience & certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, ASQ, or similar) is preferable. Relevant experience in Inspection/Quality control in Offshore Wind farm projects for minimum 10 years.
