- Lead the Team and assist Regional Manager in implementing better Extension Model for Farmer connect for CF.
- Ensuring identification and thereafter sustaining uninterrupted supplies of Potato for the plant – month wise / season wise. Identify / Create / Develop / Grow / Sustain new as well as existing Agro contract farming pockets
- Lead the Storage Modernization Agenda in the region assisting Regional Manager
- Ownership toward Agro key quality and quantity deliverables – CF and NCF buying within PIH specifications
- Lead the relationship building with local government officials, Mandi Boards office & administrative officers drawing strategic alliance for business & CF sustenance in state of West Bengal.
- Transferring knowledge to new members of the team, better on boarding and help them in developing.
- Ensure discipline amongst partners / suppliers / effective administration and implementation of company policy and standards.
- Drive the PWP – water positive agenda through drip irrigation, SFP and DSR contributing to pi positive water balance.
- Drive the Agro capability development agenda for the agro region – driving the agri-technological knowledge sharing and competency building within the team.
- Supportive role to the R&D initiatives on new varieties, POPs, new molecules etc.
- Identify the new pockets that would complement / supplement existing plan and increase penetration of program and create opportunities to increase quality and quantity
- Arrange for timely allocation / distribution of seed to farmers and arrange post planting supervision and POP adherence
- Ensure chip grade programs and zero pilferage of Chip grade potato
- Quality deliveries – TPoD, Ref cap and Solid percentage
- Close coordination with transport agency and LD&T Manager for timely placement of vehicles.
- Maintain ongoing relationship with the farmers, key members of society and government and suppliers.
- Prepare seed sale documentation, POP documentation, buying / procurement documentation, transit documents
- Set up quality labs and conduct cook test and report buying standards
- Liaison with local government officials – agricultural / horticulture – arrange field visits and increase farmer connect & get third party endorsement
- Daily updating and maintenance of dispatch records for all procurements, contractual jobs for loading /unloading, submission of Mundi Tax.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate/ PG in Agriculture/ MBA – Marketing / Supply Chain
- At least 5-6 years of hard-core agriculture In-Put sales / procurement / supply chain experience in a sales / manufacturing / processing set up.
- Proven experience of dealing with farmers, traders, negotiation, selling, collaboration, agricultural departments & state agricultural policy.
- Experience of dealing with local government authorities, suppliers, transporters, farmer unions
