The role of a Certificate of Insurance Analyst involves reviewing and processing insurance certificates to ensure they meet the required criteria for vendors and other third parties. This position plays a key role in risk management by ensuring timely actions throughout the process, including contacting suppliers and brokers to obtain certificates of insurance, conducting timely follow-ups, and escalating issues to the business when necessary. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for closely monitoring the entire process and providing regular updates.Responsibilities
- Communicate insurance requirements to vendors and contractors, assisting them in obtaining and submitting the necessary documentation.
- Follow up with vendors and brokers to ensure timely receipt of certificates.
- Monitor and track all certificates, promptly escalating issues to the business as needed.
- Track insurance expiration dates and renewals, proactively working with vendors to obtain updated certificates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, legal, and risk management teams, to ensure consistency in insurance requirements and compliance processes.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, internal departments, and external partners regarding insurance-related matters.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient processes and tools to enhance insurance compliance activities.
- Support audits and assessments related to insurance compliance and risk management.
- Regularly publish reports and closely monitor non-compliance and pending cases.Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field is preferred.Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Strong skills in Excel and email writing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly explain complex insurance concepts to different stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to insurance compliance is a plus.
