This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.Job Purpose: The Project Planning Team Member's role is to execute all planning-related activities for the projects. The Project Planning Team Member will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project schedules, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that all planning activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.Responsibilities:Project Planning Team Member-PETCHEMProject Planning and Scheduling:Develop detailed execution schedules for EPC, commissioning, and operations using PRIMA VERA and Excel, focusing on advanced scheduling techniques.Support comprehensive planning for manpower, costs, and plant machinery requirements during construction, ensuring optimal resource allocation.Create and manage master schedules and detailed schedules for monitoring engineering projects, applying established scheduling practices.Set target dates for documents and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.Prepare and maintain a list of monitoring activities checked by engineering, ensuring timely completion.Monitoring and Control:Monitor project execution, identify issues, and report them to management for corrective actions, handling complex issues and ensuring compliance with standards.Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders (contractors, interdepartmental) to review project progress and address concerns.Ensure adherence to vendor selection rules and specifications of technical documents, applying defined audit standards.Support the management of project documentation and construction quantities, ensuring accuracy and oversight.Risk Management:Assist in identifying potential risks in project planning and scheduling, supporting the development of mitigation strategies.Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and assist in taking proactive measures to minimize disruptions.Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate project planning documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders, adhering to data management standards.Assist in preparing presentations and updates for project steering committees and management reviews, ensuring thorough reporting.Ensure documentation is properly maintained and available for future reference.Stakeholder Coordination:Support communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders on planning-related matters.Coordinate with project managers, lead cost control, senior planners, and other team members to facilitate seamless project execution.Assist in promoting effective communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.Key Stakeholders - InternalProject HeadProject ManagersOther disciplines HODOther site discipline leadsFinance & Estimation teamO&M Commissioning teamKey Stakeholders - ExternalSubcontractorsVendorsEPC, EPCM contractorsConstruction agenciesOE/PMCDetail design consultantDetail Engineer ContractorsQualifications:Educational Qualification:B. Tech / B.E in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a reputed institute/university.Work Experience (Range of years):5-12 years of work experience with some experience in a similar role within a large-sized organization.Hands-on experience with project planning and scheduling.Experience in managing engineering projects within the petrochemical industry.Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
