4-6+ years in D365 F&O Manufacturing implementationsLocationOnsite / Offshore (as per SO)Role OverviewThe D365 F&O Manufacturing Consultant is responsible for leading the functional design, configuration, and deployment of Manufacturing capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The role works closely with business stakeholders to optimize production planning, execution, and costing processes across discrete and/or process manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Process Design & Implementation
- Lead requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, and solution design for Manufacturing modules in D365 F&O.
- Configure and implement core Manufacturing features, including:
- Production control
- BOMs and routes
- Production orders (discrete / batch / process)
- Resource and capacity planning
- Support manufacturing scenarios across make to order, make to stock, and engineer to order models.
- Configure and optimize:
- Master Planning (MRP/MPS)
- Capacity planning and scheduling
- Shop floor control and production execution
- Work with SCM and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless integration with inventory, procurement, and logistics processes.
- Implement and support production costing methods (standard, FIFO, weighted average).
- Ensure accurate tracking of WIP, variances, and production KPIs.
- Support operational and management reporting related to manufacturing performance.
- Collaborate with SCM, Warehousing, Finance, and Quality Management teams for end to end process alignment.
- Support integrations with external systems (MES, PLM, quality systems) in coordination with technical teams.
- Prepare functional design documents (FDD), solution blueprints, and process maps.
- Support UAT, SIT, cutover, go live, and hypercare activities.
- Train end users and provide post implementation support and optimization recommendations.
- Strong hands on experience with D365 F&O Manufacturing module.
- Solid understanding of:
- Production control
- BOM & routing structures
- Capacity planning
- Manufacturing costing
- Experience in end to end D365 F&O implementations (at least 2-3).
- Good understanding of discrete and/or process manufacturing industry practices.
- Ability to interact directly with business users and manage stakeholder expectations.
