- Support the Financial Controller in managing statutory and internal reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong governance and financial discipline.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits; prepare schedules and respond to audit queries.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process; monitor adherence to budgets and highlight deviations for corrective action.
- Lead month-end closing activities, including the creation and posting of journal entries.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyse general ledger variances.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage billing of monthly invoices.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset register.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with 6-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting and prior experience as an Assistant Financial Controller (or equivalent role).
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls,
- Strong knowledge in US GAAP.
- Proven background in financial reporting, GL, AP, AR, and related accounting functions.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly self-motivated, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Skilled in multitasking, managing priorities, and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel.
- Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and drive results.
- Good to have- exposure to international accounting.
