- Design, implement, and manage security controls and services within AWS (e.g., IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, WAF, Shield).
- Perform regular security assessments and audits of AWS environments.
- Monitor for threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues using AWS-native and third-party tools.
- Develop and enforce policies related to identity and access management (IAM), least privilege, and resource tagging.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Investigate security incidents and lead root cause analysis and remediation.
- Maintain security documentation and assist in regulatory and compliance efforts (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Stay current with evolving cloud security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
