- Procurement Planning: Understand project requirements and develop procurement plans aligned with EPC project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Vendor Identification & Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers/vendors for project-specific requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Sourcing & Negotiation: Source materials, equipment, and services required for EPC projects and negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
- Purchase Orders & Contracts: Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts in line with organizational policies and EPC project requirements. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Work closely with the finance and project management teams to track procurement expenses, analyze cost variances, and ensure adherence to budget.
- Inventory & Material Management: Coordinate with the warehouse and site teams to ensure timely delivery, optimal stock levels, and proper utilization of purchased materials.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, resolving disputes, monitoring performance, and ensuring long-term collaboration.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and innovations in materials, equipment, and services relevant to EPC industries.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, project management, and site teams to align purchasing decisions with technical and operational needs.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes within EPC industry (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
- Hands-on experience in sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of technical specifications of EPC materials and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations, logistics, and supply chain management is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in procurement, preferably within EPC projects.
- Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPM) will be an added advantage.
