Main Duties: PREFERABLY WITH HOSPITALITY (HOTELS) EXPERIENCE Conducts a Training Needs Analyses and makes recommendations to Department Heads and to develop departmental training plans Together with the Human Resources Manager identifies employees for development, recommends and monitors individual development plans Develops employees to maximize their potential and prepares them for future promotional opportunities by conducting counselling sessions where development needs are discussed Ensures compliance with corporate and hotel training plans Maintains complete and accurate training records Stays current with the latest training development in the market Increases the consistency of customer service and supervisory leadership skills by utilizing training as a strategy to achieve customer service and operational goals Utilizes motivational training techniques to develop and implement service skills and Standards. Ensures that required training programs are conducted regularly Reacts to any observed performance deficiencies and develop training materials to improve the employee's skills accordingly Conducts management training courses regularly SECURITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY Maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and employees Ensures that all employees follow safety rules and procedures Fully understands the hotel's fire, emergency, and bomb procedures Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct are maintained by all employees MISCELLANEOUS Attends meetings and training required by the Human Resources Manager Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests and stakeholders Maintains own working area, and materials clean, tidy, and in good shape; reports defective materials and equipment to the appropriate person within the hotel Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve knowledge of own job function Perform duties as may be assigned. Is well updated on: - Hotel fire, bomb, and emergency procedures - Hotel health and safety policies and procedures - Hotel facilities and nearby sights of interest and importance (i.e., hospitals, stations, tourist sights) - Hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures
