In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of students, staff, and faculty within a school or college environment. Your primary duties will include administering first aid, managing chronic health conditions, conducting health screenings, and ensuring compliance with institutional health policies. As a vital member of the school’s support system, you will play a key role in promoting a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment. - Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
- Conduct routine health screenings, including vision, hearing, and growth assessments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with data protection standards.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to support students with special health needs.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, including infection control and sanitation procedures.
- Organize and conduct health education sessions for students and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and mental wellness.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers and public health agencies when necessary.
- Ensure the school health centre is fully stocked, sanitised, and operational always.
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and coordinate with emergency medical services as needed.Requirements *Requirements:*- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent).
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council or relevant regulatory body.
- 1-3 years of experience in clinical or community health settings, with preference for school or educational institution experience.
- Strong knowledge of paediatric and adolescent health care.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and first aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
