- Leading the design and development of manufacturing processes using the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) framework to facilitate new product introductions and the commissioning of new production facilities.
- Managing intricate engineering activities by evaluating requirements related to plant layout, machinery and equipment specifications, manpower allocation, and creating detailed documentation including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans (CP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Engineering Standard Operating Sheets (ESOS), Validation Test Cases (VTC), and Manufacturability Analysis (APPAP).
- Planning and validating production processes, particularly for Electric Control Panels (ECP) and Electric Control Assemblies (ECA), ensuring smooth transition from design through to execution.
- Identifying and overseeing the procurement of capital expenditure (Capex) assets such as machinery and equipment, managing their installation, commissioning, and integration into production lines.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives through methodologies including KAIZEN, Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT), One Improvement Task (OIT), Cross-Functional Teams (CFT), Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), 5S methodologies, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), Mistake Proofing (Poka-Yoke), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with quality, production, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of process improvements and adherence to project timelines.
- Supporting compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing operations and facility setups.
- Mentoring junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning within the team.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently to ensure successful delivery within targets.
- A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or Automobile Engineering.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in the aforementioned fields who have demonstrated substantial professional experience and technical proficiency are also encouraged to apply.
- Direct involvement in manufacturing process design, validation, and project execution, with demonstrable success in handling complex operational challenges.
- Experience in managing engineering projects for new product introductions and plant expansions, underscoring capabilities in cross-departmental coordination.
- Exposure to continuous improvement programs and lean manufacturing techniques that leverage efficiency without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with procurement and capital expenditure planning, from specification to commissioning stages.
- Strong documentation habits and familiarity with quality management systems that govern automotive and manufacturing contexts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes and related documentation, ensuring proficient development and control of quality-centric manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to independently manage new projects, from initial concept through development, productionization, and launch phases within a manufacturing context.
- Fundamental understanding of Transmission and Tractor Assembly processes, essential to effectively contribute to the Swaraj Division's product lines and manufacturing strategies.
- Capacity to evaluate and select machinery and equipment suitable for production needs, overseeing installation and commissioning to meet operational standards.
- Competence in applying quality and process improvement methodologies aimed at enhancing product reliability and production efficiency.
