- Create a variety of UA assets for your assigned product, which may include training courses, certification exams, documentation, tutorials, videos, embedded help in UI, sample code, eBooks, and infographics following UA development processes, templates, and standards using various tools and systems.
- Perform job task analysis and create UA design documents that identify common user tasks that can be addressed through UA.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop UA vision documents that will include the product use cases, common tasks, and user personas.
- Recognize problems with tools and processes, recommend enhancements for UA for group, team, and department, and share with management.
- Work closely with SMEs to design and develop solution-based content to resolve relevant real world scenarios
- Respond to queries on help forums or mailing lists, and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned products.
- Participate in internal tasks forces related to UA and other technical matters. Participate in discussions at UA and feature team meetings.
- Ensure best practices for usability of UA by involving SMEs and customers in user needs analysis.
- Develop and review certification exam items.
- Excellent writing skills, including the ability to research, design, and write in a variety of formats, as well as to maintain and improve existing material.
- Ability to write in a more relaxed, conversational style, such as that used in popular social media products.
- Ability to write UA with a strong task orientation.
- Strong knowledge and professional experience using or administering any data integration product or cloud service is highly desirable.
- Strong experience with non-Oracle Security products may be considered.
- Experience with installing and configuring software independently is strongly required.
- Knowledge of Java, XML, and Linux technology is highly desirable.
- Working experience on Linux operating system is highly desirable.
- Knowledge / experience with Oracle Database Administration is desirable.
- Experience with DITA Editor is required.
- Experience with developing videos, and tutorials is required.
- Experience authoring documentation in a content management system is highly desirable.
- A strong, positive work ethic as demonstrated by initiative, adaptability, independence, and the desire to do what is required to produce a quality product.
- Ability to follow style guidelines, a writing model, and department processes for writing and publishing UA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for global audience.
- Strong inter-personnel communication skills to be able to make great business relationships with people from various LoBs.
- Strong ability to illustrate complex concepts graphically. The writing and graphics should enhance the learning experience.
- Demonstrate a keen sense of organization and attention to detail.
- Handle unforeseen difficulties and obstacles with ease.
- An excellent team player and able to work on complex projects with a group of other UA developers.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines and on multiple projects at a short notice.
- Ability to work with people in different time zones.
