- Produce comprehensive regular management reporting including financial, commercial, and operational key performance indicators (KPI's) that help explain Zscaler performance and inform future decision-making.
- Budgeting / Long-Range Plan: Independently handles bottoms-up build of operating expense budgets/ LRP aligned with corporate growth directive; inclusive of creating budget / LRP documents necessary to capture a comprehensive view of operational and strategic needs.
- Provide and present meaningful, concise, and clear financial analysis, including variance analysis to senior management on financial issues and performance (actual versus budget/forecast/prior quarter/prior year etc).
- Support Senior leadership in build out of monthly reporting package and board reporting and earnings support.
- Critically assess historical trends in conjunction with future objectives to create reliable model inputs.
- Create simple but powerful business intelligence and reporting which enables the finance and business teams to manage performance effectively.
- Partner with cross functional business leads on forecast expectations and develop strategies to maximize profitability to ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Quantify the financial impact of risks & opportunities and develop action plans to mitigate risks and realize opportunities.
- Create insightful presentations that include findings from deep dive analyses and actionable recommendations that propel the business forward.
- Various ad-hoc analysis and process improvement projects to drive efficiency and scale.
- CA or MBA Finance with Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with salesforce, Adaptive insights, NetSuite, Tableau, Exactly, Clari and/or other comparable software systems.
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills including a solid understanding of financial concepts and application.
- Ability to effectively articulate ideas, results of financial analysis, and actionable recommendations
- A self-starter, who proactively converts gaps into opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication & data presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel / PowerPoint and financial modelling skills.
- Strong budgeting and forecasting experience. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as IRR, unit economics etc
- Flexibility to work U.S. time during the pick days of the quarterly/monthly reporting process.
- Strong team-player with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet function well with independent responsibilities.
