- Managing all the Purchase and Sourcing related activity of the company
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies with respect to categories
- Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure they are in line with the technical specifications and commercials
- Preparation of Comparative statement and getting it approved
- Sustaining rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits (if required); exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
- Effectively communicating with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Tracking purchase orders to ensure that they are scheduled and deliver on time.
- Contacting potential vendors to arrange appointments.
- Prospecting for new accounts to increase market penetration.
- Resolving any purchase-related issues with vendors.
- Making follow-up calls to confirm purchase orders or delivery dates.
- Follow up with the suppliers via phone or email / in writing on the status of orders placed.
- Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly/monthly projections & performance reports.
- Conversion of Requisitions to Purchase Orders
- Create purchasing order
- You have at least 2 years experience ideally as a Buying / Procurement or Sourcing within Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals / Biotechnology and Retail.
- You have working knowledge of any graduate, - Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems / Purchase / Sourcing / Inventory Management / MIS Reporting / Vendor Development / Vendor Management and - Good verbal and written communication skills / PR skills / Proficient in use of MS Office Applications (Words, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
