Job DescriptionOur client is a well-established global financial services MNC with a diversified presence across capital markets and alternative investments. As part of its expanding Private Equity & Venture Capital platform in India, the firm is looking to add a hands-on Fund Manager to its Mumbai-based investment team.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Fund Manager with a minimum of 3 years of investment experience to support and drive the full investment lifecycle across private equity and venture capital strategies. The role involves deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, and ongoing portfolio management, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment & Deal Execution
  • Source, evaluate, and structure PE/VC investment opportunities across sectors.
  • Conduct comprehensive commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
  • Build financial models and prepare detailed investment memorandums for IC review.
  • Support deal negotiations, term sheet structuring, and transaction execution.
Portfolio Management
  • Monitor portfolio company performance against investment thesis.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports, valuation updates, and portfolio reviews.
  • Engage with portfolio company management teams to support strategic initiatives.
Fund Operations & Stakeholder Management
  • Assist in fund operations, accounting coordination, and compliance processes.
  • Support LP communications, reporting, and data requests.
  • Coordinate with external administrators, auditors, legal advisors, and other vendors.
Team & Knowledge Development
  • Mentor and guide junior team members and analysts.
  • Contribute to internal process improvement, research, and investment frameworks.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Engineer (IIT, Bits Pilani, etc) & MBA (IIM's, FMS, XLRI, etc)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, M&A, or related roles.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of fund structures, operations, and accounting.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and ownership.
