- Assist in the design, development, and testing of SonicWall systems and networking software components for large-scale distributed systems.
- Contribute to C/C++ based system modules, working under guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (platform, cloud, DevOps, QA) to understand end-to-end system behavior.
- Participate in software prototyping and proof-of-concept development to evaluate new technologies and approaches.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following engineering best practices.
- Solid and profound computer technology foundation, proficient in data structure, algorithm, computer network, computer security and other fields.
- M.Tech / M.E. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong foundation in C and/or C++ programming.
- Solid understanding of computer networks fundamentals:
- TCP/IP basics, IP addressing and routing concepts, Client-server communication
- Good knowledge of operating systems concepts:
- Processes and threads, Memory management basics, Synchronization and concurrency fundamentals
- Exposure to Linux system programming (internals, system calls, debugging).
- Familiarity with basic security concepts (authentication, encryption, secure communication) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn complex systems and work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Building high-performance networking and security software.
- Debugging issues across applications, OS, and network layers.
- Working with real-world protocol stacks and system constraints.
- Writing production-grade C/C++ code used in network security products.
- Collaborating in a large-scale, multi-team engineering environment.
