Job DescriptionOur Data Science teams help to provide NIQ's clients with the most complete understanding of the market and its consumers. With a footprint in over 100 countries across the globe, our extensive data and measurement capabilities provide market context and confidence. We are constantly innovating to keep pace with emerging market trends and the increasingly diverse, demanding and connected consumer.The Data Science Team provides other teams within NIQ expertise in our panel development, assisting with new products, data feeds and estimation techniques. We are responsible for creating and adhering to the best practices and approaches for panel weighting and data processing/aggregation. The team's core value of integrity applies to our processes, client deliverables and team relationships.What you'll do
  • Support Data Science solutions for client request and provide initial recommendations for complex client raised issues.
  • Support Internal and External Clients with the understanding of NIQ design and methodology.
  • Accompany senior leaders to meet with clients to understand business needs and help offer innovative solutions.
  • Work on creating new solutions use cases, proof of concept and prototypes by exploring diverse data sets using tools such as Python / R.
  • Understand NielsenIQ products and services to suggest to new solutions for client challenges.
  • Collaborate with other Data Science team units.
  • Automate and develop solutions for existing processes.
  • Support or participate in Innovation initiatives to create out of the box solutions by leveraging large and diverse data sets and state of the art technologies.
  • Be part of international team with main responsibility of Central Europe markets.
Experience
  • Degree in Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Operative Research, Econometrics, Data Science or a similar quantitative field.
  • Professional experience, preferably in the FMCG industry. Broad industry knowledge of NIQ reports and methodologies is a benefit.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, data visualization & presentation skills, a strong communicator to be able to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely in a non-technical way. Strong verbal, presentation and written skills.
  • Excellent data management skills.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel and MS office in general is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical or mathematical packages (R/Python).
  • An efficient and creative problem-solver with an exceptional aptitude for data analysis (ability to use statistical methodologies to analyze the data).
  • Excellent English communication skills (must have), with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
  • Excited by challenges, pro-actively interacting with others, an enthusiastic and flexible team player.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and set direction of the overall program.
