This is a team of 18 employees spread across London, Singapore, US & India, with a tight-knit, collegiate atmosphere and uncapped potential to learn. This is a great role for an individual who is interested in a career in the commodities industry.Key Responsibilities Include:
Creating/reviewing laytime calculations
Following up on all claims to earliest resolution
Reporting and providing analysis on claims completed/in progress to highlight ports/external counterparties and our demurrage liabilities
Reviewing sales/purchase contracts and charterparties to highlight demurrage risks
Develop relationships with external counterparties to make resolution of calculations a smooth process
Other ad-hoc responsibilities to develop over time.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role with a knowledge of shipping practice and laytime
Strong Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with a global team
A capable, enthusiastic individual who is a self-starter, able to work under pressure and comfortable with taking initiative
Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with a global team.
